Cyprus Boat Trips - Articles SurfingCyprus boat trips are a great way to see some of the fabulous coves and bays that would otherwise be totally inaccessible from the land. There are literally hundreds of beautiful beaches scattered along the coast of Cyprus. You can weigh anchor and spend hours swimming or snorkeling in the clear blue Mediterranean Ocean. The waters around this beautiful Island paradise stay warm enough for swimming right through to November due to the heat the water stores up during the hot summer months. There are all kinds of Cyprus boat trips that sail out of the little harbors and fishing shelters dotted all along the coast. Whether your preference is for fishing or just a nice relaxing pleasure cruise there is a trip that's just right for you. The fishing trips are many and varied from the chartering of a small private motor launch right up to the most professional and modern vessels that will take large fishing parties right out into deep water. The highlight of the sea fishing season is around about July when the tuna arrive off the coast of Cyprus. Be sure to book yourself a Cyprus boat trip that fishes tuna and you will see some real big fish(I know they only look small in the tins) making for some great sport. You could end up eating tuna for your whole holiday if you are lucky enough to land one of those monsters. For most holiday makers the ideal Cyprus boat trips are the ones that meander up the coast stopping off for a spot of lunch and a swim. There are plenty of those to choose from and they are not expensive either. Some of the biggest pleasure cruises sail out of the lovely harbor at Ayia Napa which is situated right off the main promenade. There's a superb moonlight cruise that sails in the evenings and includes dinner and a disco too. If you are feeling a little more adventurous there are some Cyprus boat trips with a difference including a fabulous catamaran which also sails from Ayia Napa under full sail. If you want to experience some real sailing then this is probably the one for you. How about a Cyprus boat trip that sinks! Well not quite it's a semi submersible or a kind of submarine. Here's the best bit, yep it's yellow too! Many of the Cyprus boat trips out of Ayia Napa and even Larnaca marina travel right up the coast as far as the border with Northern Cyprus. They are forbidden to sail any further than Famagusta which now lies derelict since the Turkish invasion and subsequent occupation of Northern Cyprus in 1976. Famagusta (often rreferred to as the ghost town) was once the jewel of the Mediterranean with its miles of white sand and beautiful hotels it was a major destination for all the top cruises of the day. Whatever you decide your holiday would not be complete without taking one of the many Cyprus boat trips. With so much to see around the Islands coast there is no better way to take it all in. Remember to take your snorkel because the warm clear Mediterranean waters are teeming with a huge variety of marine life. Don't worry though because there has never been any reported shark sightings off the coast of Cyprus (the piranhas ate them all) to my knowledge. Enjoy your Cyprus boat trips!
