Staying in Hawaii is Cheaper Than You'd Expect - Articles Surfing

Hawaii (www.gohawaii.com) has been a favorite vacation destination for many, and a desired vacation spot for even more. With its tropical climate and beautiful locales, it's no wonder that more people are looking to the islands for a relaxing vacation. But the expected higher prices are scaring some tourists away and they shouldn't.

The Ocean Tower Hotel as Waikiki Beach is a favored destination for budget minded travelers. Only a half a block from that famous beach, the Ocean Tower Hotel offers a central location for all of the excitement, shopping and entertainment of Waikiki. Also near the Ala Wai Golf Course, golfers can enjoy a few rounds on the greens while basking the Hawaiian sun.

The hotel offers spa services at The Aqua Bamboo with a free breakfast available each morning in the lobby. Also nearby is historic Pearl Harbor as well as the Waikiki Aquarium. In the area as well are Honolulu Zoo (http://www.honoluluzoo.org/) and Diamond Head Crater for those that like to head out for a little exploration. With hotel prices starting at less than one hundred twenty-eight dollars per night, this is certainly a budget minded traveler's dream.

For even less money, you can stay at the Ocean Resort Hotel in Honolulu. This hotel is only eleven miles from the airport and features a one block walk to the south side of Waikiki Beach. Each of the rooms has a balcony so that you can enjoy all of the views of Hawaii and the rooms have all of the modern amenities that travelers have come to expect. The bilingual staff is friendly and attentive, helping to arrange and recommend area activities.

The Hibiscus Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a few souvenirs for those that couldn't come along, but for rates starting at less than one hundred dollars, there really aren't any excuses.

The Aqua Continental is heralded as five star without the five star prices. Rates start below seventy-five dollars per night and include a short walk to the famous Waikiki beach as well as central location for the active nightlife of the area. Places like International Marketplace, Honolulu Zoo, Kapiolani Park, and Ala Moana Shopping Mall are within one mile of the hotel, while Iolani Palace, Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pearl Harbor Memorial and Battleship Missouri Memorial are only a short distance away as well.

The Aqua Bamboo and Spa is one of the other budget friendly hotels in this area, but also offers a range of spa services for the travel weary tourist. The sauna and spa are available to all guests, but a nice lounge by the large pool can also be enjoyed for those less inclined.

Children stay free at this hotel (when they are seventeen and under), so this may be your chance to bring the whole family to Hawaii. The studios and suites at the Aqua Bamboo and Spa have at least one lanai available for private use'others can have up to three.

Hawaii doesn't have to cost a fortune or be a far off vacation dream. By watching the airline prices and looking into these budget friendly hotels, you can be saying aloha a lot faster than you ever thought possible.
