What Are The Three Relaxing Massages? - Articles SurfingLeg Massage After you have had a long strenuous day, a quick leg massage can revamp your leg muscles. Even after a long and arduous exercise program. After putting your feet on the ground, gently rub the entire leg. Do this for both the legs at least 3 times. Then comes the thigh. Do the kneading motion to enhance the shape of your thighs. Hammer them with your fists to revitalize the area. If you have been sitting for a long time, this helps. Gently massage your knee area both front and back. Do the circular motions with your fingers on the kneecap area. Then do the kneading motion on your calf muscles. You can lightly stroke the area as well to finish the massage. Foot Massage A foot massage can enliven our entire body. While we love to do it for others, we can do this simple massage for our own feet too. Hold your foot with both hands. One on top and the other at the bottom. Keep on stroking the foot 3 to 4 times. Then pull each of your toes gently. Pull, knead and squeeze each toe. Do this for both the feet. Around the arch and ball of the foot, use round circular motions with your fingers. Gently stroke and rub the ankle area. Complete the massage by stroking the entire foot. Hand Massage The most used organ of our body are the hands. A massage is needed here too. Stroke and squeeze the entire hand. Each finger can be stroked and squeezed individually. The thumb joint and knuckles can be made to relax by using circular motions. The thumb should be used to rub the back tendons of the hand. It can also be used to make circular motions all across the palm. Stroking the entire hand is the best way to complete the massage.
