What is Leptin and How Does it Effect Your Weight - Articles Surfing

Have you ever noticed that some people manage to stay slim, trim and fit with, what seems like to others, little or no effort? These lucky individuals are able to control their weight and metabolize food quickly. They are lean and slender with very little fat stores. They are able to eat what they want, when they want and weight gain, food cravings or overeating is never a major problem for them, while there are other people that are constantly struggling with their weight.

Those who are constantly struggling with their weight sometimes don't do anything differently than those who are not struggling. They may eat the same foods, get the same amount of exercise but still, to no avail, they have troubles losing weight. They try the newest diet plan that comes along and or a quick weight loss supplement and they still can't seem to lose enough weight. And if they do lose some weight as soon as they go off of the diet plan or stop taking the supplements they gain the weight right back and sometimes even more weight.

The main consensus concerning obesity and weight loss seems to be that it is all about the right diet and shear willpower. However that really may not be the case. There could actually be a genetic disposition that causes people to have trouble losing weight, keeping their appetite in check and causing them to overeat. This disposition could be caused by a resistance to an important substance in the body called Leptin.

What is Leptin? Leptin is an influential hormone or protein in the body that is produced by human fat cells. What Leptin does in the body is communicating directly with the brain and tells the brain how much fat is stored in the body. It controls your appetite, energy levels, hormone balance and your metabolism.

When you are lean and have very little fat stores, leptin helps to regulate your weight by controlling appetite and the use of stored energy. However, if you are obese there is a problem with the leptin levels, troubles occur and this could be the primary reason for food cravings, overeating, an obsession with food, and a slow metabolism. Obese individuals appear to be resistant to leptin. Similar to diabetic people being resistant to insulin.

Leptin is the hormone in the body responsible for appetite and fat storage and in most people it is not working properly. That's because Leptin is essential for survival; it guides the proper response to starvation. The problem for most people is that their Leptin message is giving them a message of starvation and their metabolism reacts to this, even when food and body fat is in abundance.

Using a product such as XELLEX that specifically targets the Leptin hormone and the messages that leptin send the brain will help to control your appetite and the storage of fat.

XELLEX provides a breakthrough resolution for modulating leptin levels, the body's natural regulator of body fat storage. By assisting in the regulating of leptin, XELLEX naturally suppresses appetite and converts stored and dietary fat into energy.

What is XELLEX? It is a safe and natural complex of plant-based polysaccharides and esterified fatty acids that have been shown to reduce stored body fat and enhance weight loss. In clinical trials, this patented formula resulted in a 92% greater fat loss than with the placebo group. Turn on your Leptin receptors and try this product, it works.
