The health benefits offered by daily disposable lenses is another reason behind their success. As they are replaced every day, daily disposable lenses do not attract the build up of dirt and are therefore less likely to cause an infection.

Wearers of daily disposable lenses are also less likely to suffer from dry eyes. They are also less likely to have allergic eye diseases. Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis in particular is far less common amongst wearers of daily disposable lenses than those who use extended wear lenses.

Daily disposable lenses are very popular in the UK. And given the comfort, convenience and health benefits that they offer, they are likely to remain popular for a long time to come.
