Article Writing - Consistency Counts, Write An Article Day - Articles Surfing

Article writing is one of the easiest ways to make money online; the more articles you write, the more income you will make. It's a great home business for anyone, and requires no capital outlay.

You can make money from your articles in many ways, including:

* writing articles for others and being paid for your words;

* adding articles to a blog, and being paid for advertising on the blog;

* selling affiliate products via your articles;

* compiling your articles and selling them as ebooks.

Although it's easy to make money this way, the income you make depends on the number of articles you write, and the consistency with which you write. Writing an article a week will get you started, but as soon as possible you need to focus on your production and write an article a day.

So let's look at how you could do that.

1. Set goals for your article writing

Start by setting a goal of writing an article a day. Now you've set the goal, you can break that goal into tasks, and can add the tasks to your calendar.

Although you could write Article 1 on the first day, the second article on the second day and so on, your writing will go more smoothly if you do your tasks in batches - you may even find that you write more than an article a day.

Here's how I write my articles.

I outline five to ten articles at a time, on several topics. Then I research the articles - some articles don't require much if any research, because they're based on my own experiences. Finally I batch-write the articles, writing several at a time.

Why work with more than one article at a time? Because when you stay with a particular task, you can get into flow, and you're more productive.

You'll also find that working with more than one article at a time is inspiring: you don't get a chance to become bored.

Try this process for yourself. I'm sure you'll find that this works for you too.

2. Be consistent - add your tasks to your calendar, and DO them

When you write an article each weekday, that's around 300 articles a year, which will achieve any income goal you care to set.

However, it's important that you keep your schedule, and write the articles. You'll find that once you've written an article a day for a week, you're well on the way to developing a habit.

When you write an article a day for a month, then it's a real habit. At this stage, you'll find that your mind is buzzing with article ideas, and that your writing progresses much more quickly than ever before. Also, the income boost you get from this will give you the motivation to continue.

When I coach students, they tell me that although committing to their calendar tasks takes single-minded focus at first, it quickly becomes easy and enjoyable.

Some article writers write five to ten articles a day, and you can see that this increases their income substantially. However, start by committing to writing just one article a day.

It's easier than you think - so get start right now. Before you know it, you'll have a successful article writing business.
